UNIXIS process: aligning product direction, strengthening the product

Overview

Corporate banking services — opening online banking, applying for a company card — look simple, yet they stall at the application form: jargon is hard to parse, and one wrong field means redoing the flow and re-stamping every page. Over time, companies stop taking chances and leave it all to their account specialists.

Businesses grew used to being served, leaving bank specialists buried in routine paperwork.CTBC wanted to break this habit — promoting self-service applications that reduce dependence on specialists, making corporate applications faster and easier while lifting the digital experience.

Move the flow online, make fields easy — can users really do it themselves?

Digitization alone is not self-service. UNIXIS built a first-of-its-kind banking service experience from zero.

We rebuilt the service holistically — integrating strategy and experience end to end — turning a specialist-dependent process into one businesses complete on their own.

Positioning

Design isn't handing over answers — it's drawing out consensus

Before a new service kicks off, everyone holds their own expectations for the site: marketing? applications? patching gaps in the official site? But a website is no catch-all — more features don't mean better results.

Rather than taking every request, UNIXIS first helped CTBC unpack expectations into focused choices, pointing to one clear goal.

02Service Conversion

The homepage is the engine of digital banking — lighting up needs, powering self-service

UNIXIS positioned the homepage as the first touchpoint of the bank's digital service — more than an entrance, it is the hub of marketing and needs guidance.
Through scenario-based exploration, focused showcases and precise recommendations, it carries the core tasks of reaching and converting customers.

Brand Refresh

Visual value isn't looking different — it's making vision and belief tangible

Corporate banking doesn't have to stay unchanged in a suit and tie

More than a restyle, UNIXIS returned to the brand's essence — CTBC corporate banking going digital, living sustainability

UNIXIS built a new visual identity that expresses digital confidence, trust and future-readiness.

04Application Experience

Shed the paper mindset — corporate users understand at a glance, and applications flow freely

More than digitizing forms, UNIXIS rebuilt the paper logic — translating fields and conditions into an online Q&A users can understand and operate, completing applications on their own

Unixis Perspective

Digitizing a service isn't copying the offline model or patching pain points — it's breaking process inertia to rebuild user behavior and service logic.

We started designing from the moment corporate users couldn't finish the flow — tearing out the paper mindset and integrating everything from strategy to interface. Not simplified form-filling, but a rewritten application experience: businesses can help themselves, flows reach the end, and only then does the service truly start.
